‘A courageous leader’ (Coaching Vignette)

Updated: Jul 14

I was working with a new leader who took on a newly formed team. While she was eager to ignite the team, she struggled with declaring her team’s mission. The team started growing frustrated and as I continued working with her, I uncovered that she was frozen as she waited for direction from her leadership. This was a person who always took charge of projects, but this was different for her. She was seeking permission to set the team’s ‘North Star’. As I explored past experiences with her, I discovered that she needed to let go of her ‘need for permission’. I helped her unlearn this need and learn readiness skills that gave her courage.

Change your mindset to achieve your goals. Inspire excellence… through coaching.
